Pre-K

Care for Preschoolers

4 and 5-year-olds

Our PreK class is a Collaborative Universal PreK through Berkeley County Schools during August to May. Children must be 4 years old by June 30th to be registered in this class. Our PreK class is a vital stepping stone towards kindergarten readiness. We utilize a creative curriculum that emphasizes foundational literacy and numeracy skills while nurturing social development and time management within a structured environment. Our dedicated PreK staff provides individualized attention, fosters problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills. Through learning centers, whole group, and small group instruction, children engage in collaborative and individual activities that build self-assurance and allow them time to practice cooperation and conflict resolution skills which are critical for future academic achievements. Our PreK class child-to-teacher ratio is 1:10 with a maximum class size of 20 children. Anytime children are present during Berkeley County Schools PreK days/hours, 2 staff members must be present no matter how many children are in the room.
